Art is created for the sole purpose of self discovery. It is not meant to be an instrument to practice vanity nor arrogance. It is a tool for expression, for telling, expressing, in an honest way, but in a way that only the artist understands the true intention. Perhaps it may be adored, or even hated, by the audience but the audience is only negligible. Their opinions can be easy disposed of, as the speculation is nothing but pure subjective imagination. So in a way, it doesn't matter if a piece of artwork is trashed by the world - As long as the artist knows its significance, There is no shame.
